Typography-A3

In this typography, I focused on mostly contrast to make this piece appealing to the eye. By using different point fonts, I was able to create all different height levels of text. Using various fonts allowed me to add to the contrast by changing the height of the lettering. I also utilized the wrap feature to create variation in my font. Although we were limited to black and white, I used bold faced font to change the thickness and color levels within the typography. In addition, I used the "Wingdings' font to insert in different shapes and small pictures to add contrast and style.

Unit 1 Assignment 1

     For my first Unit 1 assignment, I choose to do a theme of college programs and career options for a degree in Environmental Studies. I will include schools that offer this degree and include a list of career options that graduates tend to choose after completing school. This information will allow people interested in working with the environment in their future to see which schools and career options are available to them.
   The layout will include pictures showcasing the different types of careers available to those who have an environmental related major. There will also be pictures of various ecosystems, different school logos, and other environment related images. The color scheme will include browns, greens, and blues to give the website an earthy feel. I will include links that will navigate to the schools' Environmental Studies page and companies that have environmental jobs.
    I want to convey the need and importance of environmental jobs. I hope my website will get people interested in these types of college degrees and career options. I will ensure that my website is a joy to navigate through and an excellent source of information. The three links I included are a good example of what I want my website to look like. They have quality information, give off an earthy feel, and include the colors I want to use.
